2006: April May June July August September October November

It was a really wet June, and so far we've been looking at more heavy rain in July, alternating with some scorcher days. So far that's making for more greenery than flowers: the thistles are coming out, the hosta are in bloom, and the water plants need to be repotted yet again after only two years. Maybe we'll look into a waterlily or a lotus for next year.

July 15: A crazy unbelievable lightning storm hit NYC last night. Now this may be completely unconnected, but this morning I went out back to give the fish breakfast, and they'd both gone to the big pond in the sky. Blown several feet clear of the pond, and scales everywhere...
